The duo were both appearing on the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet, alongside fellow treble-winner Keane.
However, former Red Devils captain Keane, 52, was not present at the premiere.
Cole, 52, was asked by Neville how he enjoyed the red carpet, to which he said: “[It was] Very good. Yeah I enjoyed it.”
He then looked over to Keane and cheekily asked: “Skip, what happened?”
After shrugging his shoulders, Keane replied: “I was doing a charity function. I was. Coley knows me better than that.”
Jill Scott– who was on the show along with Wayne Rooney and Ian Wright as well – asked whether Keane was the only one missing.
Keane said: “No there was loads missing.”

Scott, 37, reasoned that David Beckham had flown in for the premiere, with Keane saying: “He would yeah. It’s his show isn’t it.”
Cole had a well-documented feud with fellow striker Teddy Sheringham which Keane had to intervene in.
Cole revealed last week: “Teddy joined Manchester United, that season I remember conceding a goal.
“He turned around to me and said, ‘That was your fault’. My head was absolutely steaming then.
“I got into the dressing room and I lunged at him, I was just about to throw a punch. By the time I realised, Roy was trying to fight him.”
Keane was furious with Sheringham and launched an expletive-laden tirade at him.
Soon after the two men got at each other’s throats and were separated by their team-mates.
Keane didn’t speak to Sheringham for “three-and-a-half years” after the scrap.

Sheringham said: “We had a fall out, Keaney turned around said, ‘Why don’t you f**k off back to London with your f*****g Ferrari and your penthouse?’
“And he turned around and grabbed my tie and everyone jumped in and stopped it, saying: ‘What’s happening, what’s happening?’
“He didn’t say a word to me. He didn’t say a word to me for the next three-and-a-half years.”
Thankfully Sheringham and Cole finally buried the hatchet in 2018 and joined some of their legendary team-mates on the red carpet to celebrate the release of the Amazon doc which launches on Friday.
Inside Keane and Haaland's feud
Roy Keane’s feud with the Haaland family seemingly began all the way back in 2001 when Keane hit Alfe Inge Haaland, Erling’s father, with a horror tackle.
After a barren spell for Haaland earlier this season, Keane said: “The levels of his general play are so poor. He has to improve that. He is almost like a League Two player.”
Keane upgraded him to a “Championship” player after Haaland scored against Nottingham Forest.
After scoring four against Wolves, Haaland said: “I don’t care about that man.”
But Keane highlighted Haaland’s behaviour when he was subbed off, saying he behaved “like a spoiled brat”.
Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones caught the wrath of Keane’s death stare when he dared to question that label considering his quartet of goals.
