The Nespresso Vertuo takes pods and there are loads of different types available to suit the fussiest palates – I counted 46 on the Nespresso website.
These include limited editions, such as this summer’s Sunny Almond Vanilla Over Ice, Cold Brew Style Intense, or Tropical Coconut; coffee with added ginseng or vitamin B12; Barista Creations with yummy extras such as roasted hazelnut or caramel – and of course, just coffee.
There’s a range of cup sizes from a 25ml ristretto up to a 535ml carafe, so all caffeine needs are covered.
This model also has a one-litre water tank and heats up in 30 seconds, as well as an automatic switch-off that kicks in after two minutes.

You can also download the Nespresso App to purchase coffee capsules and accessories, and link to your coffee maker with Bluetooth for tips on machine care and best use.
Use a separate milk frother to expand your coffee shop repertoire and create cappuccino, latte and iced coffee recipes.
Sustainably speaking, the aluminium capsules are recyclable too, simply send them back to Nespresso through the post – Royal Mail will collect them from you – or drop them off at your nearest post office. Bags are free so it doesn’t cost anything to send them back.
