Amazon slashes Android former flagship from £415 to £270 as one customer calls it ‘phenomenal value for the money’

LOOKING for a low-cost new phone? I’ve spotted one that’s on sale right now – and it used to be a flagship device.

Amazon has dropped the price of the OnePlus 10 Pro by 35%, from £414.56 to just £269.90, saving you an astounding £144.66.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has been reduced by 35% on Amazon, taking the cost down to just £144.66

Last week, Senior Writer Matt Breen found the previous OnePlus 9 Pro reduced to just £169.90 on Amazon.

Now the retail giant has launched an equally impressive deal on its successor handset, which was released a year later in 2022.

Fancy flagship devices are released annually, and keeping up with the latest and shiniest new phone can prove a pretty expensive business.

Luckily, since there’s a new must-have each year, the price of previous flagships is often reduced by a substantial amount, making it more affordable to pick up.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that just because it’s an older device, it lacks high-quality tech you can rely on – I’ve taken a look over the specs and I like what I see.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is another contender in Team Android’s ever-growing list of sturdy-yet-affordable choices.

Since there’s such an extensive list of devices, you can’t be blamed for not having heard of this gem.

First things first: if you are hesitant because you fear something might go wrong with the phone, it comes with a 2-year guarantee to help put you at ease.

When it comes to phones, there are a couple of important factors, and those are usually the camera and screen quality.

For budding photographers, you’ve got access to a 48-megapixel primary, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide and an 8-megapixel triple rear camera config.

(For anyone not too tech-savvy, the iPhone 15 also has a rear 48-megapixel camera, so you’re not being left behind in the slightest.)

If you’re more interested in streaming the latest episode of The Boys like I am, the OnePlus 10 Pro should serve you well.

It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ screen with a 120hz refresh rate. You’ll get some sharp contrast and brighter colours, but it’s in the refresh rate is where you’ll notice the real magic.

Anyone coming from a slightly older device limited to 60hz will notice how smoother gaming, scrolling, and streaming with 120hz is.

Current flagships charge pretty quickly already, so it’s interesting to note that the OnePlus 10 Pro is actually faster than a lot of the latest flagship devices from either Samsung or Apple.

The 5,000mAh battery can be fully charged in just 32 minutes, so you spend less time stuck to a wall and more time doing what you enjoy.

Customers on Amazon are by and large ecstatic about this super-cheap mobile.

One shopper notes that the OnePlus 10 Pro is ‘phenomenal value for money‘ and is ‘currently unbeatable for the price’.

Another shopper states it has an ‘excellent screen and battery. [The] supplied super charger often charges to 100% from zero in 30 minutes.’

If you’re in the market for an Android device and the OnePlus doesn’t quite pique your fancy, last month we spotted another budget-friendly option, the Motorola Moto G84, for £179, down from £249.99.
