IF there’s one thing most women dream of, it’s a luxurious dressing table with a big mirror and beautiful lighting.
But with the cost of bespoke designs being anywhere from £5,000 upwards, it’s a dream many have to let go of.

It’s especially difficult to invest in home renovations amid the cost of living crisis.
But according to one DIY whizz, you don’t have to fork out an arm and a leg for your dream home.
Gemma Markland created a bespoke luxury dressing table on a budget using IKEA bargains, Amazon buys and MDF.
The content creator has a whopping 875,000 followers on her home Instagram account, The Markland Home.
This is where she showcased her DIY dressing table in a now-viral video.
The most shocking bit? Gemma says it cost just £186.
“I think it looks really luxurious,” she shared.
“First of all, we got IKEA Malm drawers at £79 each.
“We then got a piece of MDF cut for the table top, costing just £16, and then adding luxurious handles from Amazon which were £12.
“Yes, the chair was extra, and so were the mirror and LED lights, but the dressing table itself was a DIY bargain.”
The design is reminiscent of many celebrity walk-in wardrobes.
It is extremely similar to Love Island alum Olivia Bowen’s “dreamy space” that she has showcased on her home Instagram account, The Bowen Home.

DIY fans took to the comments of Gemma’s video to gush over her bargain idea.
“It’s absolutely stunning,” one quipped.
“Looks so clean and chic,” another complimented.
“Looks like it costs thousands,” a third said.
Gemma assured her followers that the dressing table was “honestly so easy” to do herself.
