A NEW bunch of free TV stations are coming to a popular streaming app on the Amazon Fire Stick very soon.
And the line-up features some big name shows you’ve probably heard of before.
Free ad-supported TV – or “FAST” channels – keep popping up as people look to cut their streaming bills from popular platforms like Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video.
Even the big players are jumping on the idea.
Fremantle – the company behind major formats like Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor– is boosting its free offering on Pluto TV.
It’ll benefit telly fans in the UK and US, as well as Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, San Marino, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden.
Pluto TV already offers hundreds of streamed TV channels across the world, with well-known content such as South Park, CSI and Judge Judy available to watch instantly – and without needing to sign up too.
The service isn’t just available on Fire Sticks too, viewers can access the app on Samsung and LG smart TVs, PlayStation, Xbox and even via some set-top boxes like Virgin Media in the UK.
You can watch from the comfort of a laptop directly in your web browser without needing to install anything as well.
In the UK, the latest expansion will include a channel devoted to everything Escape to the Country.
The popular property buying show which follows families seeking the perfect home in the British countryside has aired on the BBC since 2002.
Other channels that have been announced are:
- Three’s Company
- Baywatch
- Supermarket Sweep
- Family Feud Classic
- Let’s Make a Deal
- The Price is Right: Bob Barker
- The Price is Right: Drew Carey
- Alarm Fur Cobra
- Project Runway
- Prisoner
- Jamie Oliver
The offering will vary from country to country.
Some such as Baywatch are already available in the UK for example but will now come to Spain, Italy and the Nordics in the coming months as well.
A channel for classic US sitcom Three’s Company will launch outside the US for the first time, starting with Canada later this summer.
Three’s Company originally aired from 1977 to 1984 and is based on the UK show Man About the House.
