A WOMAN has revealed that she has given her loo a total transformation whilst on a budget.
So if you want to give your home a mega makeover, but without splashing too much cash, then you’ve come to the right place.
A DIY enthusiast has revealed that she has given her toilet an impressive overhaul, without splashing too much cash[/caption] Using cheap stick-on tiles and paint from Wickes, Natalie Auty was able to totally transform her space, leaving many open-mouthed[/caption]Posting on DIY On A Budget Official, a private Facebook group with a whopping 2.2 million members, a DIY enthusiast revealed the £11 buy that transformed her toilet.
Natalie Auty shared before and after pictures of the space and penned: “Floorpops stick-on tiles.”
The once dark flooring is now nowhere to be seen, and has since been given a new look thanks to grey, patterned, stick-on tiles, as Natalie added: “£11 a pack – I used two packs.”
The DIY fan later explained that she ordered the tiles from Amazon, where the tiles have 10 in a pack.
To stick down the tiles, which cost her £22 in total, Natalie advised: “You can use spray adhesive. I used No More Nails on the corners so they don’t lift.”
If you want to give this a try and haven’t got any adhesive, you can nab No More Nails from B&Q for just £5.
Natalie also wrote: “Just a temporary floor until we have the downstairs done next year, and certainly better than the carpet that was there when we moved in.”
The social media user, who lives in Lincolnshire, used the tiles on the floor, as well as behind her sink for a backsplash.
When it came to cutting the tiles around the bottom of the toilet, Natalie confirmed: “I cut the straight ones with a Stanley knife but [used] scissors for the rest.”
Not only did Natalie use floor tiles, but she also brightened up the room with a fresh lick of paint too.
The savvy woman explained that she used Crown paint, in the shade Brilliant White, which you can buy for just £15 from Wickes.
Thanks to the cheap floor tiles and the budget paint, Natalie’s bathroom not only looks brighter, but is super trendy and chic too, without breaking the bank.
