I was so embarrassed by the state of my garden but transformed it into an oasis with a £5 buy from Amazon

GETTING your garden ready for the warmer weather is not easy, especially if you have a tight budget.

Rather doing endless digging, one woman has transformed her garden with just a few items she had at home.

After a long, damp winter, most gardens are in need of a little TLC right now.

The wet weather has played havoc with our outdoor spaces and most people are waiting until summer to tackle the chore.

One amateur gardener decided to get outside on a rare dry day though, transforming her garden in just six hours.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, Emma Harry Dearlove made over her garden on a tight budget and with only a few essentials.

Showing off her hard work in Gardening On A Budget Official group, the Facebook user explained how she’d gotten rid of her green walls with a leftover tub of paint.

Commenting on her impressive before and after, she told other members that she’d been forced to tackle the algae before it took over the rest of the garden.

She wrote: “I was out there for 6 hours…It had to be done though on a rare dry day & before the plants in the borders grow up.”

Though she’d hoped to give her wall a quick refresh with spray cleaner, she soon realised that the algae had grown too quickly for her to do this.

Instead, Emma decided to tackle her wall with a cheap tin of white masonry paint that she’d bought a few years ago from Amazon.

“It was around £20 and [I’d] done all my walls 2 years running…and there [was] a small amount left,” She later told The Sun.

Giving her outdoor space a quick brush, the amateur gardener made sure that her walls were clean before getting her the leftover Granocryl paint out.

Despite it being the end of March, the Facebook user was able to make the most of the dry weather and gave her garden a quick refresh.

After just a few hours, she had brilliant white walls with the smooth masonry paint helping to bounce the light around her garden.

Even better, she spent just a fiver on the transformation as she has been able to use the remaining paint.

She later revealed that she does this process every year to help her garden bounce back after winter.

“It lasts the whole of Spring, Summer and Autumn…that’s all I want,” she joked.

Emma has also made the most of her outdoor space by adding a greenhouse to grow flowers and vegetables – which she shares with those around her.

She told Fabulous: “I grow all or most of my flowers, tomatoes cucumbers and more from seed in my greenhouse.

“I also give a lot away that are spare to family and friends. I work in a school and also take some there for our allotment.”

The amateur gardener has put so much effort into her outdoor space that it’s caught others’ attention on social media.

One stunned Facebook user wrote: “Well done!! You have worked hard and it has paid off.”

“Great job looks really nice and fresh,” added another, with a third saying: “What a difference too… lovely.”

Her garden makeover is even more impressive considering that picked up the paint several years ago.

Though we can’t guarantee that you’ll get the same effect, you can have you own garden transformation as Aldi are selling climbing plants for just £1.89.

If you weren’t already racing to the checkout, you can also bag bargain decorative trellis for £8.99 and a stunning gothic mirror to admire your handiwork in – for only £7.99.

Sounds like there is no excuse to not have a gorgeous garden this spring.
