That’s because a savvy DIY whizz named Nicola has revealed exactly how she transformed hers using bargain buys from the likes of Homebase and Amazon.

And perhaps the best part of all? It cost her just £80 to do it.

The homeowner took to TikTok and shared a snap of the dated kitchen before the transformation – and with its wooden cupboards and dated backsplash, it’s fair to say it was in desperate need of some TLC.

She then headed out to get everything she needed, and explained how she used ‘refresh kitchen paint’ in ‘forest green satin,’ which costs from £27 from Homebase, to give her cupboards a completely new lease of life.

“We cleaned, sanded and painted three coats for full coverage,” Nicole says.

Next, she de-greased the tiles and painted over them three times using Rust Oleum tile paint in white gloss.

After leaving it to dry, she then chose some colourful mixed ceramic door knobs from Amazon which she notes were “sooo easy to attach.”

Alongside the post, she penned: “New kitchen feels for EIGHTY QUID couldn’t beat it, and of course I filmed the whole process (a week into 60 seconds).

“Didn’t all go the way we wanted but it was quickly fixed and all worth the tears in the end.

“I mean – isn’t she GORGEOUS?”

It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 430k views from very impressed social media users.

“Class job!” praised one.

A second enthused: “Fabulous job – well done!”

A third commended: “It looks so good! I love that colour!”

Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “Stunning, well done!”

And a further chimed in: “We’ve just done the same with vinyl! The cupboards were a challenge but for now it’s such a cheap way to freshen up the kitchen!

“Looks fab!”
