A WOMAN who used a £50 DIY tattoo kit was disgusted after the inking looked like a “hairy penis” – and cost £1.3k to cover up.

Natalie Rene, 35, was horrified when she woke up following a boozey party with pals after testing out a cheap inking kit from Amazon.

What seemed like a brilliant idea at the time turned out to be a three-year-long nightmare.

Despite an evening spent planning cute friendship tattoos – Natalie is no longer in contact with the mate who botched her arm.

I also got a few more that night from the same friend – a weird spirally thing on my leg with an R on it and a love heart on my hand, another arrow on my foot and a semicolon thing on my wrist.

The 35-year-old was rushed to hospital three days after the gathering when the inking became infected.

The design, on her left forearm, was originally supposed to be a love heart with an arrow through it.

But, it ended up resembling a “hairy penis” according to Natalie – who endured six painful hours having it covered up.

The law student, from Loughborough, East Midlands, said: “We ended up going to the hospital because he tattooed so deep and it was bleeding and very sore.

“The doctor said it’s very dangerous and I’m lucky I didn’t lose my arm because of how deep he tattooed it.

“The tattoo was meant to be a love heart with an arrow through it but because it was so deep and the scarring.

“It looked like a hairy penis.

“I also got a few more that night from the same friend – a weird spirally thing on my leg with an R on it and a love heart on my hand, another arrow on my foot and a semicolon thing on my wrist.”

COVER UP

Natalie kept the permanent drunken scribbles for three years before finally growing sick of them.

She was forced to fork out an eye-watering £1,350 in total to have them professionally fixed.

The 35-year-old confessed she parted ways with the tattoo gun happy mate who wrecked her skin.

She said: “Straight away after I woke up that morning I thought ‘this isn’t how I pictured it’ because I was drunk when I had them done – then the reality kicked in.

I don’t think they should be sold on Amazon, I have spent so much money getting them covered up and could have lost an arm

“My family were so angry and told me I was stupid and need to get rid of it.

“I was fuming about it but I will take accountability.

“After having it done I went to get blood in the hospital. My other arm would never give blood – so I HAD to roll my sleeve up and say sorry when they spotted the tattoo.

“The nurses would giggle as it actually looks quite offensive.

“The scar – from the arrow tattoo – is what makes it look like a penis.”

‘STUPIDEST THING’

Natalie admitted she still owns the tattoo kit – but vows never to dust it off and put it to use.

“I’m a bit of a hoarder, I still haven’t got rid of it,” she said.

“When me and my friends are a bit drunk, my friends tell me to get it out and I am like ‘nope’.

“It’s never going to end well and it’s never going to look good.”

The law student thinks it’s worrying how easy it is to buy tattoo kits online.

She said: “I don’t think they should be sold on Amazon, I have spent so much money getting them covered up and could have lost an arm.

“It’s the stupidest thing but the easiest thing to get hold of.

“Even an 11-year-old or 12-year-old could buy one.

“I don’t know what possessed me to get them I wanted a time machine.”

It comes as plenty of brits have fallen victim to some pretty awful tattoos.

A Shrek obsessed fan had the green ogre’s name tattooed on his forehead.

Brave young man Harry Brown made the bold move to permanently ink his face with the popular movie branding because “Shrek is love, Shrek is life”.

Meanwhile one woman made a massive commitment to her boyfriend – and had his name inked on her head.

TikToker Ana Stanskovsky (@anastanskovsky), showed the process to her followers online and was slammed with hate.

Despite claiming she wouldn’t regret the risky decision – days later a video was uploaded confessing she didn’t like it.

Elsewhere, another ink addict has covered her whole face in tattoos and claims no one will hire her.

Melissa Sloan, from Wales, said she has struggled to land a job but is still trying for baby number eight.

Plus, one tattoo artist who made a MAJOR blunder and messed a client’s artwork up for life.

The customer shared the video of her ink unveiling on social media and it soon went viral.
