IT remains one of the biggest homeware trends of the moment.
And while there are hacks to help people achieve the panelled wooden wall look, they are often still pricey.

So one woman has shown how she managed to get the look on a budget – using self adhesive wooden slat wallpaper from Amazon at £20 a roll.
“No glue necessary as the paper is self adhesive and mess free,” she said in a video on her TikTok page as she showed herself applying the wallpaper and using a piece of cardboard to smooth it out.
“Do NOT attempt to stick it on wet paint – we learnt the hard way,” she added.
She encountered another issue because the wall wasn’t quite straight, and then had to purchase another roll of the wallpaper as they’d miscalculated how much it would take.
In the next video, she showed the finished look, after applying all of the wallpaper and updating a mural on the way to reflect her salon with an image of a hairdryer and a woman mid-beauty treatment.
The paint on the actual woodwork had also been updated from grey, to black gloss.
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “The transformation!!!”
“We’re obsessed,” the woman replied.
“LOVE THIS!!” another added.
“Omgg can’t believe it’s wallpaper!! Looks great,” a third praised.
“I used the normal wallpaper version, a lot cheaper and no sheen to it. £10 a roll 10mtrs and probably wider too!” someone else commented.
To which the woman responded: “In future we would also use the normal wallpaper version.”
“I have the same, and it looks great on my walls,” another wrote.
“I had the exact same style, but wallpaper from Dunelm £12 a roll,” someone else said.
