Thrilled with her home’s overhaul, Kelly took to social media to share a close-up before and after look of her space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget Official, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Kelly shared her impressive living room makeover and penned: “Drab to fab…somethings we did save for, it’s been a labour of love since January.”
What was once a very dated space, with tired carpet, mis-matched furniture and a lack of personality, has since been given a total transformation.
Now, the living room is not only incredibly trendy and stylish, but super cosy and homely too.
Kelly replaced the carpet for some fresh flooring, ditched her old sofas and gave the wall a chic panelled makeover.
The DIY fan revealed that she nabbed sideboards from Amazon for £55 each, which she used as a TV stand.
Not only this, but she added: “Our sofa (white one) was free to collect and we will probably buy a different cover as they are for sale in IKEA.”
She confirmed that she removed the fireplace herself and thanks to some help from her dad, the pair did their own panelling using MDF sheets.
She continued: “We did all the painting and filling in.
“I find all my plant pots and frames etc in charity shops and at car boot sales, sometimes skips.
“Our rugs were given to us from family.
