A SAVVY homeowner has shared how she transformed her staircase to light up as she walks up or down the steps – and people are hugely impressed.
Lucy Hall, from Our Hanbury Hideaway, uploaded a clip showing how she easily installed the bargain lights in minutes.
In a clip on her @our_hanbury_hideaway TikTok page, she wrote: “Budget mood lighting.
“It’s totally changed our stairway and super quick and easy.”
Lucy showed how she unboxed each of the lights and attached a magnet to the back.
This would enable her to instantly remove the light from the side of each step so she could charge them up.
She explained: “These ones are rechargeable by a cable.
“They last quite a long time depending how often they are used.”
And you don’t need to worry about running the battery down in the daytime, as it only comes on when it is dark.
Once she had added a light to every other step going up her stairs, she showed them in action.
As she walked past each one, the light came on and illuminated the step.
Lucy shared the exact £1.99 product she uses, and where to buy it from the TikTok shop on her video.
If you don’t use TikTok, you can find a similar product on Amazon, with a six-pack of motion sensor lights being sold for £23.99.
Hull-based Lucy has racked up 146,000 followers on Instagram and 33,000 TikTok fans with her impeccable home style and hacks.
Over 7.8million people have viewed her video, with thousands praising the idea.
One person wrote: “Now the monsters won’t get me when I flush the toilet.”
Another added: “I want these and I don’t even have stairs.”
And a third commented: “These are amazing.”
