Zendaya’s esthetician reveals 3 ‘core steps’ in her skincare routine – plus a go-to product on sale for $8 for Prime Day

ZENDAYA’S esthetician has revealed the secret to the star’s glowing skin with products that are currently on sale.

The skincare expert shared the core steps to her beauty routine, which includes a budget buy that is discounted to $8 as part of a Prime Day special.

As an “It Girl” who is constantly on the go, Zendaya has mastered her beauty regimen.

There’s no denying she’s one of Hollywood’s top fashion and beauty icons.

After starring in two of the year’s most acclaimed movies, Dune: Part Two and Challengers, Zendaya continues to secure her standing as a beauty icon.

Beauty and wellness marketplace Fresha compiled tips directly from Zendaya and her team that will help you feel your best.

TRIFECTA

Cleanser, moisturizer, and a good SPF are the core steps in the Hollywood star’s skincare routine.

CLEANSE

Zendaya always starts with a cleanser, which is “a step that she considers essential and unmissable regardless of how tired or tight for time she is.”

Her esthetician, Vanessa Marc, advises looking for a gentle cleanser that doesn’t further dry out the skin.

Some of her favorites include the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Cleansing Bar, $5.98, and the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Clarifying Facial Wipes, $12.95.

She said they “are perfect for her sensitive skin,” which can also be prone to breakouts.  

The expert added that a toner can also be a great addition to a beauty routine and is best used after a cleanser.

One of Zendaya’s top picks is the Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner, $7.90.

MOISTURIZE

As someone with sensitive skin, Zendaya makes it a priority to moisturize.

It can reduce many skin problems, including dryness, oiliness, and signs of aging.

Marc suggested moisturizing over damp skin to increase efficacy.

The Euphoria star prefers more natural options like the Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer, $14, with green tea extract and aloe vera.

Proper moisturizing doesn’t just have to do with your face because the skin on your lips is just as “thin and fragile,” which makes it “prone to dryness and capping.”

Zendaya’s esthetician shared that she likes to have the Aquaphor Lip Repair Ointment, $4.58, on hand whenever needed.

SPF SUBSCRIPTION

Always wear daily SPF, even if it isn’t sunny, because UV rays can penetrate cloudy skies and cause sun damage.

Zendaya consistently applies sunscreen and likes the Lancôme UV Expert Aquagel Defense 50 Sunscreen SPF 50, $48, and the more affordable CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30, $13.56.

They are excellent moisturizers with built-in SPFs.

If you’re wearing makeup, you can still protect your skin with an SPF face mist, such as the Garnier Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV Protection Mist SPF50, $27.95.

DON’T OVERDO IT

While cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF are the “core steps” of Zendaya’s skincare routine, the esthetician recommended other products that can target other needs.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, $45.99, is great for pimples.

In addition, try the Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel, $20, and the ToGoSpa Green Tea EYES Under Eye Treatment, $15, to give the eyes “special treatment.”

Marc also suggested using a vitamin C serum for brightening, retinol for fine lines, tone, and texture, and serums for hyperpigmentation.

She wanted beauty fans to remember that retinol, oils, and serums can be added bonuses, but it’s important not to overdo them.

“Zendaya advocates for keeping things simple and consistent,” she said.

FACE MASK MAGIC

Lastly, she said that “an evening facial mask or treatment may work wonders.”

“Undergoing a sheet mask or clay mask and serum when your skin is feeling dull or lifeless is one way of experiencing a spa-quality treatment from home,” she explained.

She revealed some of Zendaya’s favorite masks to wear before bed.
